The purpose of this website is to announce to the community that there exists a
service provider – ready to take dental care to the door steps of any person affected
by difficulty with mobility due to aging, ill health, frailty or psychological reasons such
as agoraphobia and social anxiety. And, that - service provider, is (us) - KindBlue Dental Care; the dentist that comes to your home.
The message in this website is for everyone – it is for patients, patients’ relatives,
and patients’ friends. This message is for residents of care homes, care home managers, care home proprietors and all care home staff plus domiciliary care agencies. This message is also for all primary community health providers, social workers, health agencies, health trusts, and elderly charities. Last and not least - this message is also for - you. Our message is that – ‘We provide quality Home Visit Dentistry wherever mobility is a challenge’. Our many years of experience in this field rewards us with – a well poised ease, to operate in this health services sector. Our visiting dental teams are friendly and homely; you will definitely feel at home with them, because you will be at home, in your own home, feeling at home. Our ‘home dentists’ are always ready to listen to your needs. And they bring with them - their compassion, commitment, and of course – the convenience. It is - very well established – and a proven fact! - That the health of our teeth, gums and mouth (very much) affects the quality of our lives, and it does so in a variety of ways. When our oral health is good - we eat better and have more choices in the kind of food we can eat. We radiate beautiful smiles and as a result, our confidence becomes more charismatic as it shimmers from having , well looked after - mouths. Good oral health helps our natural dentition last longer and frees us from the scourge of toothache, discloured teeth, bad breath, bleeding gums and toothlessness. There is good evidence that shows an important link between poor oral health and some
diseases of the heart, and even pregnancy miscarriages.
A healthy oral environment does indeed; very much contribute, to a better quality of life in all persons; the youth – the middle-aged – and the elderly population. It is a shame, that a lot of our elderly population who find it hard to walk around with the ease of youth (as their twilight years beckon) should also suffer the indignity of poor oral health because of difficulty in attending a dental practice for their oral care. This indignity becomes worse if full blown toothache, loss of dentures or otherwise were to occur. Toothache and denture loss, do affect nourishment and general well being.
The problem of poor oral health amongst the poorly mobile elderly is widespread.
It occurs in both care homes and private residences alike. And this is often as a
direct result of poor access of the poorly mobile elderly to dental services.
